NaBloPoMo – Cameras – Pentax K1000 #1

It gets rather fuzzy now.  Can't remember all the exact order.  I acquired several in quick order. So here is a Pentax K1000.  The K1000 was in production from 1976 to 1997.  It was the quintessential manual 35mm camera favored by students and instructors everywhere.  Built like a tank and worked for ever.  It utilized the then new K-mount lenses but with a simple adapter it could use the older M42 screw mount lenses.

This one was originally the labs documentation camera.  After 3 camera upgrades (before the big digital push) it was left languishing in a cabinet.  I had borrowed it for quite some time and the manager said keep the pile of junk.  I do not know the age.  It is the all metal version so made in either Japan or Hong Kong.  It was my main camera from about 2000 to 2004.  All my Spain pictures and the 35mm Mexico pictures were taken with it.
