Posted this photo on Thanksgiving 2006 without an explanation:

This was my dad outside his diner in Phoenix in the 1950s.  He died Thanksgiving, November 27, 1975.  Thanksgiving was never the same and nor will it ever be.

  1. I am so sorry to hear that something so tragic happened on a day when we normally reflect on all the blessing in our lives. I hope with time you have been able to turn the pain around a little, to a day of remembering the good times with your Dad. Thank you for sharing this photo of your Dad.

Lovely photo and a sad momento. And if it's okay to add, your dad was a looker. šŸ™‚

Mad-Tante. Not at all. He would have appreciated it.

It seems so much harder to lose a loved one on a holiday. šŸ˜¦ I do love that picture, it's very cool.

never got to meet him, but I've grown to know him a little. a looker he was, and a very sharp dresser. I have a few of his cufflink sets, they are beautiful.
