RIP 35mm

Yeah I know its not dead but a few weeks ago I took a roll into Lexington's only pro camera shop and they had to send it to their main store to get it developed.  Shamelessly stolen from the  Woot comments.

They look so happy to have a new friend. It's good to know they're sticking together. 😉

But still sad to think film may go away.

  5. Lord Kalvan says:

don't mention sticking, Polaroid quit making film incuding sticker film for my iZone cameras 😦

  6. Lauri says:

Urgh. I suppose film will go away. But….do you think the processes will be saved? So that, if the actual process of developing negatives…and "film" goes away…at least the "steps" will be saved?I'll be the eternal optimist here and venture to say that if film "goes away" something better will replace it! 😉

  7. Lord Kalvan says:

Lauri, film processing steps are decently documented. Some are actually doing glass plate photography again.

  8. Lauri says:

That is SO cool! 😀 I am so glad there are people to preserve all these processes!
