Yet another project.
For reference, the bottom pieces are made of standard 1 1/2 inch stock.

Mr. LT says, maybe an enclosure for some kind of lighting device.Or a bird feeder with 3 perches. He stared at it for a good long time, with his eyebrows moving up and down like a dog's.
I could see either of them. But unfortunately, no.
I have a question, Mr. Lord Kalvan Sir– Is that all the cutting that will be done on the pieces of wood?
There will be no more cutting. There will be some holes drilled. Also, some more hints. All the pieces above will be assembled into one solid piece. This piece is part of a larger assembly but it is the most critical.
I know, it's a freestanding bookshelf!
If the pieces were larger yes it could be a shelf.
It's a kitty condo-playhouse.
It's an end table? On which to place your bourbon on the rocks after a long hard day?
Mr. LT opines:Since the three smaller pieces have their pointy ends cut at 120 degrees, they could meet at the center of the larger piece, and the other triangle placed on top. That would make a very inefficient water wheel, or a food dispenser. On the other hand, the flat pieces could be kept horizontal and the three voids filled with suet or other semisolid bird feed.I'm thinking something for the cats — either a crunchy dispenser or something to feed the birds with (which entertains them).
