NaBloPoMo – Communications: Yagi-Uda Antenna

A homemade Yagi-Uda Antenna or more commonly known as a Yagi antenna.  It is known as a Yagi since Hidetsugu Yagi knew English and the principal designer Shintaro Uda did not.   A Yagi antenna is a dipole with one reflector and one or more directors added.  The most common Yagi is an UHF TV antenna.  Mine is for 435 MHz Amateur Radio Satellite reception.  I built it from a design intended for operators in areas without the normal resources.  It is constructed of hardwood and brazing rods.
