Today for NaBloPoMo, we will consider two trains.
The first is the Pegasus. It is important as it is one of the early locomotives in the US and the fact it was the fourth and last in the Bachmann historical trains series.
It was built by Norris Locomotive works like the Lafayette and was a 4-2-0 like the Lafayette. The significance was it was a regular production item as opposed to a one off. I never bought it as it was way too similar to the Lafayette. As far as I can tell, it is the only one in production.
The other familiar locomotive is the John Bull. Yep today while driving to Kroger’s, I went to a yard sale and found another John Bull. It was slightly damaged and from the second production run.
Can’t complain for $13. Another train, some track and another controller. The mom I talked to, said it was too small and did not make enough noise for her kids. I have no idea if I got a good deal or not. Good condition, the set is worth about $150 or so. This was not and was missing the box.
